About the Timber River
The Timber River Railway is located in the far Northwest corner of Wisconsin and the iron ore range of Minnesota. It connects the iron mines of the Missabe Range, the grain fields of the Great Plains and the coal mines of the Powder River Basin with the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior and the western end of the Great Lakes.
